Do not accept imitations!
They came afterwards and never got the original pictures that can only be seen in this historical archive!
Over the years, Little Spain: A Century of History has been imitated without success: the key lies in what no other documentary possesses — the photographs. Over a decade of production, Arthur Balder and his team acquired an extraordinary archive of rare and never-before-published images from private collections, institutional vaults, and personal estates within the Spanish-American community of Manhattan. These are not stock images or recycled press clippings. Many had never been published anywhere, and they appear nowhere else — not online, not in any library, not in any competing film.
Imitators have attempted to tell this story using the same handful of publicly available photos. The result is inevitably shallow — a surface sketch of a century that deserves depth. Little Spain succeeds because its visual archive is irreplaceable: candid moments inside La Nacional, street scenes from 14th Street spanning decades, portraits of community leaders long before they became historical figures.
This premium DVD edition is the only way to experience these images in their full quality. What took years to collect and curate cannot be reproduced by anyone working from Google searches and Wikipedia. The archive is the film, and the film is only here.
