La Opinión A Coruña — “Un ‘Coruña’ en el viejo Nueva York”

The Galician daily returned to the film four years later, under the subhead “El documental ‘Little Spain’ recoge imágenes inéditas”.
The article names Francisco Santamaría — wearing an A Coruña pin on his lapel, from the city he had left more than fifty years before — as one of the witnesses Balder used to recall the days when the crossing with Chelsea spoke Galician, Castilian or Catalan.
It reports that the documentary offers unpublished images and the video of the last procession of the Apóstol, at the end of the 1980s, and that the Spanish colony, by the director’s estimate, came to number close to thirty thousand residents.

In the author’s words
“Los establecimientos de la Calle 14 llevaban nombres como Trocadero Valencia, Casa Moneo, Iberia o Restaurante La Coruña, por donde pasaba la procesión del Santiago Apóstol, patrón del barrio.”
